Shenzhen NewDEL Biotech Co., Ltd. ("NewDEL Biotech")and Ningbo Heridas Lead Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Heridas Lead") recently announced the signing of a new drug development cooperation agreement aimed at developing novel targets for tumor immunotherapy.
This collaboration will combine NewDEL Biotech's DNA-encoded compound library (DEL) and its unique technology for cell-based screening with Heridas Lead's automated-driven chemical proteomics technology and Protac degradation target analysis platform. This will form a DEL 3.0+Protac/chemical proteomics complementary advantage research and development system. Not only can it significantly shorten the optimization time for novel target leads/lead compounds, but it can also discover potential off-target effects at the very early stage of drug design, thereby avoiding toxic side effects or exploring more potential indications. The conclusion of this new drug joint development agreement is another important step for NewDEL Biotech to integrate industry-advantaged complementary resources.
NewDEL Biotech's Chairman, He Xun, stated, "We are pleased to have reached a new drug development cooperation agreement with Heridas Lead. This collaboration aims to develop immunotherapy drugs targeting novel targets, leveraging the outstanding value of DEL 3.0 and Protac/chemical proteomics technology in the field of drug discovery. NewDEL Biotech will continue to integrate industry resources, combining the inherent advantages of DEL 3.0 in exploring new targets and new scaffolds from 0 to 1. Through resource integration, we aim to rapidly design and optimize preclinical candidate compounds (PCC). This collaboration marks another milestone in the steady progress of NewDEL Biotech's new drug joint development business model, following the DEL 3.0+membrane protein stabilization technology."
Dr. Ni Feng, CEO of Heridas Lead, commented, "The cooperation between Heridas Lead and NewDEL Biotech in new drug development fully integrates the research characteristics, advantages, and accumulated technical and data expertise in new drug development of both parties. Together, we will invest in developing novel Protac drugs targeting new targets. At the same time, based on mutual development goals, we have established a win-win strategic cooperation relationship, which will become a more competitive innovative cooperation model in new drug development."
